Default DB - Shenzen -- quickest way

With the help of a friend (Way to go M), I have found what I think is the quickest way to get to Shenzen that I wanted to share with you all:
* Catch the Sunny Bay bus to Sunny Bay
* Go to Tsing Yi by train
* At Tsing Yi bus terminal there is the #279 or #279x bus that will take you to Sheung Shui MTR station

Happy shopping!

or you can go to Airport and get the A43 to Lui Wo. The bus takes about 40 mins and drops you at the rail station just before Lui Wo, train takes about 2 mins to the border !

Anyone hired a car and driver to get up?

Default Quickest way to Shenzhen

You can call a green taxi and ask them to wait at the DB Tunnel Toll Plaza. (Try green taxi driver Mike 9288 8097). From DB Tunnel to Sheung Shui takes 40 mins and costs around HK$270.

Taxi from Tung Chung or Airport to Sheung Shui is around HK$350.

Thats Great, I was going via A43 from airport, but on the way back its a pain to have to go to the airport then get the DB1.

How do you normally get back? Do you arrange a time with taxi driver to collect you?

On the way back the booked Taxi Drivers need around 1 hour advance notice and can wait for you at Sheung Shui or Huang Gan (at Taxi Rank). Unless you are using a booked Taxi driver the others are not too keen to go to Sunny Bay or to DB Tunnell Toll Plaza and prefer to just go to Tsing Yee MTR.

You can get from Sheung Shui to Tsing Yee MTR in 35 min in a normal green Taxi and costs HK$200. Can get back to DB using MTR and bus from Sunny Bay, all in takes around 1 hour 15.

Or from Sheung Shui outside MTR station taking 279X (same stop as airport bus) to Tsing Yi MTR station. This is the quickest and cheapest way to go and come back. Costs HK$12.5 going and HK$11.50 coming back.

Recently visited Sheznhen's newly build theme park - OCT East. The park is located near Dameisha (beach) and on top of a mountain. Click to see slides.

Default the cheapest way to shenzhen

1. You can take E34 bus (at Tungchung) to 又新街 at yuen lang(on the bus you will be told next station will be 又新街), and then walk a few steps to B2 bus stop. B2 bus will take you to shenzhen bay. It just costs you HK$26 from Tungchung to shenzhen Bay. I sometimes go to shenzhen. If you and me both are available one day. I can take you to shenzhen.

My emai address is chnxren@yahoo.com

2. You can also take MTR to 罗湖。Look up the MTR map: 欣澳-荔景-太子-九龙塘-罗湖。It will take about one and a half hours to 罗湖。

3. You can take MTR to 葵芳(Kuai Fong). There is a bus to shenzhen Bay(HK$46).
